Rebecca ‘Speck’ Brown, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, has been working with individuals and institutions for over two decades. She began her career working for an independent financial advisory firm outside of Washington DC. Additional professional experience includes working for Cramer Rosenthal McGlynn, LLC a boutique equity asset manager working with individual and institutional investors. During her tenure there, she also led that firm’s sustainable investing efforts. In her spare time, she consults Tobacco Free Portfolios, a global non-profit focused on advancing tobacco-free finance.
Rebecca holds a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification, the standard of excellence in financial planning. She also passed Level One of the CFA Institute’s® CFA Program. She earned a bachelor’s degree in English from George Mason University.
Rebecca is an amateur boxer (and avid boxing enthusiast) and former drummer of several touring rock bands. She resides with her husband and son and far too many cats in Brooklyn, NY.
